India studies Earth’s weather with a new generation satellite

The Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) announced that it has successfully launched a new generation satellite dedicated to studying and monitoring weather on Earth. A statement issued by the organization said last Saturday: “The launch of the new generation INSAT-3DS satellite took place successfully, and it was placed in its transitional orbit around the Earth. It was sent into space by a GSLV rocket, which was launched from the Sriharikota Island Space Airport in the Bay of Bengal.” . The statement indicated that experts at the Indian Space Research Organization will conduct a series of maneuvers in the coming days to place the moon in its final fixed orbit around the Earth. The new satellite weighs 2,274 kg. It is a third-generation satellite. It will be used in large-scale meteorological operations and monitoring the surface of the Earth and oceans. It will also contribute to forecasting weather conditions and warning of natural disasters.
